- Information
MATERNITY COMPLETE provides all the needed vitamins and minerals, and Omega 3, for the child growth and development in the prenatal period. It supports the good health condition of the future mother.
Vitamins are nutrients that the body needs for normal cell function, growth, and development.
Vitamin A helps to form and maintain teeth, bones, soft tissue, mucous membranes, and skin.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) promotes healthy teeth and gums, supports the immune system, and helps the absorption of iron by the body.
Vitamin D helps to absorb and maintain proper blood levels of phosphorus and calcium, which are needed for proper development and for healthy teeth and bones.
Vitamin E helps the red blood cells to form and use vitamin K.
Vitamin B1 helps to convert carbohydrates into energy and is important for the heart and nerve cells.
Vitamin B2 promotes body growth and the production of red blood cells.
Vitamin B3 helps maintain healthy skin and nerves.
Pantothenic acid and Biotin are needed to metabolize proteins and carbohydrates, and to produce hormones.
Vitamin B6 assists the formation of the red blood cells, helps maintain brain function, and supports protein synthesis.
Vitamin B12 helps with metabolism, red blood production, and maintaining the central nervous system.
Vitamin K is necessary for blood clotting.
Folic acid has been proven to be particularly important for the development of the nervous system and for preventing neural tube defects (NTDs) in babies. It is important to intake folic acid several weeks before and in the first trimester in the pregnancy to achieve a proper baby growth.
Minerals are essential for normal function, growth and development. Minerals have important effects on the health of the mother and foetus. Minerals are important for many different processes, including keeping bones, muscles, heart, brain, and for making enzymes and hormones.
Omega-3 fatty acids are important in both the development of a healthy baby and in the health of the mother.
The two most beneficial Omega-3s are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). EPA supports the heart, immune system, and inflammatory response. DHA supports the brain, eyes, and central nervous system, which is why it is uniquely important for pregnant and lactating women.
